Matching serial numbers to bolt, receiver, stock and barrel. I think he letter G is under each crowns on the right side. Single proof mark to bolt and receiver. Looking for any information. It's my first rifle bought in 1972 at Woolworth, picked out of a wooden barrel.

Possibly a Spanish import from the 1960's, still pretty decent shape considering. Fantastic you have a rifle that long!

The RR is probably C/G C/C x2, that is typical for this range, though variation is very possible pre-war, though tends to be more variable with G98 production. Your rifle has a few modifications and the serial on the stock under the receiver serial, which is typical of Spanish reworks. Still a tough maker/date.

Hello,

are there any unit markings on the butt cap of your K98?

With kind regards

Vincent

sorry took so long to get back to you with these. Hope they are helpful. I uploaded them but not sure where they went.

Hi forum
Excuse me for my poor english.

Strange sling swivels modifications. The front sling swivel is mounted in the wrong way and has an extra rotating swivel welded underneath.
For the rear swivel, it's not very clear, but it seems to be a spanish sling swivel.
I think that it's a hunter homemade modification.
