1936 Kar98k S/27 ERMA

Hi, I am still on the hunt for a kar98k, I've got a lead on this one, an ERMA S/27, unfortunately these are the only photos I could get.

From the research i've done, it looks okay... Is there anything the enthusiasts might like to add? Or anything that seems out of the ordinary.

I know it has the winter trigger guard which... Honestly I have no idea if this was even used in that time, is this a later modification?

Seller is chasing $3500 USD ($5500 AUD). These are hard to find in Australia hence the inflated price. Don't see them come up often, I can't spot the 280 or 411 in the photos though, should I be worried?

Thanks.

Hallo,
habe einen deutschen Repatriierungs- und Waffenfrankonia Würzburg-Briefmarkenimporteur!
Das Schloss wurde definitiv geschliffen und neu nummeriert!
Grüße

Schleifspur Kanten roter Pfeil

Stock sure looks nice from here. Bluing has suffered but to be expected for a rifle that old. See what you mean by the price over there. Ain't exactly cheap but rare. Nice to see it.

Immer noch ein schwer zu findendes Modell!

Egal woher man kommt!

Auch wenn der Preis hoch ist!

Der Importeur ist Waffen Frankonia Würzburg
und der Beschuss ist vom 8. August 1976 (1976).
Ich weiß, dass auch nach dem Krieg noch Läufe ausgetauscht wurden... und dass es noch immer Läufe aus dem 2. Weltkrieg gibt, die bei Austauschen mitgenommen werden!

Thanks for the info guys, I too questioned a lot of the things you all mentioned but didn't know enough about all the numbers to make a decisive conclusion of what they meant. Thanks for your help all, won't be buying this rifle. I find it disgusting that licensed firearms dealers just out right lie when i'm sure they would know given they provided me the photos and said 'all matching!'...

I agree with freudi, the safety and bolt shroud look bad/faked to me. The barrel code of 29 39 Si makes the barrel three years newer than the action assuming it is an Erma barrel so it was rebarreled at some point.
SDP barrel, ordnance replaced... poor pictures to pay 3500 - crazy price for what is shown
