1939 G. 12/34

A good friend of mine found this rifle about a year ago. Serial #’s are matching with the exception of the bolt (which was made at Steyr) the bolt stop and the substitute Vz.24 lower band for the missing original.
The stock is solid and un sanded and the bore is in very nice condition. Unfortunately the original finish is very sparse. My friend now wants to sell this rifle for the price of 2K USD. Is it worth it in this condition?
Would there be any possibility of finding the correct band for this beast? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Len

To me, I'd think it is worth the money...regular bolt mismatch 98k's are getting up to that value anymore (crazy, but it is what it is, sadly). Always thought these were cool, and very hard to find...for me, it would likely be worth the stretch...as far the lower band, I am sure thats a tough ask, but how close is the VZ band?

Maybe someone or many will think I'm smokin' crack, but thats just my off the top of my head opinion...
