Here i post the 43agv my first matching collection piece(1993) unfortunally was little sharpened blade, the second one is a nice 44asw attic found with removed rust, unfortunally no blueing on scabbard and pommel, but excellent preserved blade, with different shape of letter of series on bayonet and scabbard, on scabbard is the last digit of serial not visible.b.r.Andy

Nice bayonets Andy! If I understand you right, you mostly collect bayonets you find in your local area. Thats the same way I collect, and I also started collecting in the early nineties! Thanks for showing items from your collection. Regards Arvid

If I collected only what I could find locally, I would be up to five now, and not five nice ones.

I scour craigslist all over the country, I watch eBay like a hawk, I attend SOS, I attend many shows here in Dallas, I attend the show in Tulsa, I contact sellers with whom I've had good luck, I watch FB, I share leads with other collectors so they will share with me, I watch Gun Broker, I watch the forum trader on this site, and I monitor a few online sale pages, even though they are typically sky high. If I could think of another way to find one, I would be doing that too.

And still, there are more than 30 years and makers I do not have, and quite a number that need to be upgraded. Does anyone know of a collector that has one of every year and maker?

I was similar few years ago, unfortunally are the prices very high out of my limits now so i switch my interest to M1895 austrian and Vz.24 bayonets. I assume Trinxet is one that had many pieces of each maker, same as french of collector friend has his website full with bayonets S84/98. I assume some of here presented collection from other well known collectors have great collection there.b.r.Andy
