Hi!
My "new" 41ASW. Looks like original, not perfect, but no reblue. Number not same as scabbard (this is not problem for me - looking for 41 asw). On the "body and parts" numbers are same. What yot think about original or not? Waa compares with year and manufacturer. Scabbard ir with litle rust (I`clean) and painted (use acetone or leawe as is?). Thanks for the answer and sorry for my english.

Personally i have doubt about the blueing, it looks like someone black painted the piece and then removed it, the blueing looks with flecks on blade, so maybe there are remains of old blueing or the blueing was repaired by cold blue. The flashguard doesnt look like period blue. The scabbard is a missmatch when 43asw, even from Hoerster too, there was too rust and remains of black paint on the body. Evidently the blade was cleaned visible near ricasso and in fuller same as the press button was removed. its origin S84/98 anyway in not matching condition.

Thanks a lot for information. On weekend try to clean gently and take best photo in a neutral light. It was a low budget purchase. For me, the main thing is that's is original bayo :).

Cleaned should be by acetone the black paint and with not aggressive scratching so not use sandpaper or steel brush, should be cleaned with alcohol , oil the metall surface and then looks what should be derusted and what would be the best way to not add any additional traces of cleaning.
