Wow. I'd never even heard of them before. How small of an operation was this? Acceptance on the bayonet itself is not so well documented either. Is this one of the more difficult makers to find?

Hi Arvid
This piece + the S/173 1937 are from Norway. I buy it from a older man in Denmark who make a big deal in the early 1960. He and his Norwegian father in law was able to buy 2 boxes with 600 84/98 bayonets in Norway left over from the German Army. all was sold in the 1960-1970 and he have only 20 pieces left today - wish I have seen what was in the boxes...:facepalm:
 
Both of those bayonets are sweet. I would like to build up my collection with some of the early years.

Just kidding! Wish I had a time machine myself. I saw a lot of german gear in my youth! At that time S84/98 bayonets were boring because they were so numerous! Times has changed and there is no way back.
