Hi, Amberg M71 with what looks to be a portrait in the stock. Someone doing their school homework whilst leaning on the stock ?
Not sure what to think , but nothing to get excited about I guess ?

Better art than I could do... but this is a rifle that is rather lonely (scarce) in trends... is the stock original serialed to rifle and unit marked (buttplate), - could be worth a more thorough examination.

No unit on buttlplate, either none ever or over polished. Don't know on stock, but will ask about stamps underneath as the side with Jesus or captain sparrow on it I can't see anything
