Picked up this interesting 43CVL up from another BCN member at the S.O.S, it's not mint but I like it's character and the price was fitting. I'm currently looking to fill the 43 year collection after finishing up 44. 20220226_192556 RS.jpg20220226_192543 RS.jpg20220226_192526 RS.jpg20220226_192604 RS.jpg20220226_192609 RS.jpg20220226_192624 RS.jpg20220226_192634 RS.jpg

The 43cvl is well confirmed with additional WaA519 stamp on blade, the bayonet unfortunally was reworked by someone as normally it should have wood grips in that range, same as locking nut is replacement and the press button is a pre 1940 with WaA253 on it, the overall finish remains on phosphate so i assume someone removed weak blueing chemically by acid phosphoricus, which done a grey finish, and someone even lightly sharpened the blade, the plus WaA519 and matching is good, but the refurbishment decrease a little the value.Frog looks ok to me.

These ricasso stamped with SWE WaA519 bayonets are known from only three makers. Hörster (asw), Coppel (fnj), and WKC (cvl) as seen here. All of the documented examples are in 1943. Blades with the WaA stamped on the spine instead of the ricasso are also known. All of these pieces are quite uncommon.
