I need help! I can’t pass up these late Bnz45’s! This one looks like a factory capture having no side proof, no receiver proof and no working safety. Looks like someone may have put small wood screws to hold the bands.

What help could you possibly need, It's a no brainer. I hope you bought it. Replaced bandscrews are no big deal!
I agree, it was sitting on the bench waiting for the safety to be repaired, test firing, sight hood and the final acceptance chicken.
Does this one have the witness mark on the base of the front sight blade?

There is some mark on the blade but can’t make it out

Did you buy it at SOS ? I think I saw one with m/m bolt and missing front end cap at SOS priced at $1600
I saw that one. It sold for $ 650.00 . He drop his drawers on the price. It had a missed match bolt. S block. And missing the nose cover. And no waffen ampts on the reciver and barrel. No eagles on the wood. But for $ 650.00 was a good buy.

Band screws are modern countersunk screws it would seem. Still hard to beat for 650.

Caesar.... here's another, close in SN that was never completed...

could be a factory MM as they are very close and right at the end of production.. You cant go wrong buying stuff like that..

I dont know if people think its a mismatch? Its actually matching, just bad photos, its 4886 on the receiver and bolt

I absolutely thought it was a 5 on the bolt (the receiver is obviously a 6) and I was just chalking it up to a common factory error. I certainly suppose it could be a 6 though. bolt.PNG

I saw your bnz45 pics of the band screws and they look like mine (above). Most folks say these screws are late additons but I am wondering if maybe the wood screws were in short supply in the late war and these panheads did the job. Any thoughts?
