I get my k98 ammunition from old people that had it since the war ended i 1945,there are alot of k98 ammunition laying around here in denmark
Recently i have been asked to buy 70kilo of k98 rounds(aprox 7000 rounds)
But i dont have an permit to have all those rounds laying around

Wow, that's awesome! In Australia u can have as much ammo as u need, as long as u hold a valid gun licence of any type and store it locked away. The licencing here is really difficult to have semi autos and full autos n pistols(thumbsup:

Not just tropical, but also high velocity for the synchronized aircraft machine guns (green ring on projectile & -v on label).

Most likely they were nearly all shot off at Allied aircraft! Being the last of Western front i'd say most would be used over there in Danmark. Just my opinion prob many empty shells in your front n back yards tho.

I don't believe it is legal for US citizens to export live cartridges. If you know a exporter in the USA who can export both guns & ammo, I am sure we could find you some boxed examples. Perhaps some of the Aussies on this board have someone they use. JH

Mayby you are right,,but ordinary K98 ammo like s.S/smk/tracer and so on! are still laying around all over Denmark in homes and you can almost get it for free i know i have,but no Trope
But Zeil Munition 5.6 can still be found,funny all the package i have seen are from 1944 maybe an big shipment landed here in denmark in that year

I understand yours fustration regarding K98 ammunition,reading this thread and looking at all these variations of ammo..
Why is it that Australia is so hard to collecting k98 ammunition in?,,is it because the country is so far away from everything?
