Just got this one from a guy who found it in the woodwork. He isnt a collector so after I authenticated it, with some help from Paul,
Aka Loewe, and told him what id pay, he sold it to me. Very happy to find one this nice in canada. All matched, untouched, I added the hood and rod, rod is too nice, have a better one coming. Had a tougher time photographing the nicer quality bluing. Hence the few shots in a different area to show the quality of the remaining blue.

An excellent rifle, very tough to find this nice too. For whatever reason, one can assume the campaign in Russia, 1941 and 1942 production is very difficult to find in upper grades; of course 1935-1937 is tough due to low production and being so early, 1938-1940 fairly common because so many were made, but 1941-1943 production was stable and roughly the same each year, 1942 the lowest slightly and easily the hardest to find of the war years (1942 is a killer year to find a straight up MB, the "dual-codes" make up a huge percentage of ar/42's and straight ar/42 are damn difficult, some blocks the "duel codes" strongly out number regular ar/42... one should remember that these "dual codes" are just regular production with an added ordnance code, and in MB's case they are more common than regular production in many cases).

Anyway, this rifle is about as nice as they get, I doubt there are many ar/41's nicer.

I should also state that this being the last block, it has most of the characteristics of 1942 production, - you also see the beginnings the "dual-code" phenomena, which really began at MB during late 1941 through 1942 (the ax-ar's are serialed in the 1941 m-block for instance..). The rifle has more going for it than a humdrum ar/41, it is more like a ar/42 than an ar/41...

CanAR, a beauty! If you would be so kind, please upload them to our server so we have them and I will pic sticky it for reference. Great pics as well.

Thanks Paul! I am happy to have it.

Hambone, thanks, I was having issues uploading. I will try it again over the weekend.
I certainly won't delete them off photo bucket.

this one also is a "borrowed" receiver... e/359 denoting Walther or possible Zella-Mellis connection. Not sure if we ever nailed down 100% that Walther made k98k receivers.. Great find. Especially in the Great white north..

Andrew , I thought You said there were no good K98`s in Canada . This one blows that theory out of the water !!!!!!!! Congrats on Great AR41. Best Regards

Andrew a fantastic K98k rifle for your collection. The AR41 code is very hard too find let alone all matching and being this nice. Very happy too see you get one this nice and in Canada too even better. Also glad too see it being posted here in the picture section. I really believe that rifles this nice are what collectors dream of finding.

And Paul thanks for posting more info on the AX/AR duel code pieces. Hoping too find one for my collection one day for my other AX pieces. That would complete my AX K98k collection.

Great rifle Andrew. It's amazing something like this turned up where it did. Glad you were able to get it.

Haha there is slim hope for Canada. When we all have to fight over the few it will get ugly. Hah

Nice b block. They sure seem to smash in the firing proofs on these.
