Well since a lot of great rg34 kits are getting posted and bought from fleabay, SOS. I figured I would get my arr42 kit out. Plus I was intrigued by Slash's purchase of his arr42. This is what I have. Spoon is not marked. Oil bottle is marked ayw1941, chain marked, I believe is kcy. But the k is pretty much gone. The waffenamt on the lid is like Slash's, but I can't really tell. It looks like WaA0?? or WaAD?? like Slash stated. You guys can be the judge.

Nice!! Looks to be the same waa as Slash’s kit. Nice Oiler too. Tool looks to be an Appel type to my eye.

I haven't looked at the tool to much to determine what make it is. So thanks for that information that it might be an Appel.

Yep, that's a WaAD68 arr42 for sure. Nice find!
Thank you Slash. I have had the kit for about 3 to 4 years now. Just haven't posted it. If I remember correctly, you stated that they are the rarer marked WaAD than the other arr42 kits?

Slash is right...WaAD68
I am attaching a photo of a Waffenamt WaAD20 marking on an Astra pistol. It can be seen that although the letter D seems rounded, here the differences with the last digit are evident.

IMO the waA posted in a picture on your site also clearly shows that it’s a letter D

In my experience, yes. As far as rg34 are concerned the WaAD68 has only been observed on a few arr42 behälter.

Yes, you can also notice the difference in thickness between the letters and digits.

I'm went into the rabbit hole called Braunschweigische Blechwarenfabrik and slowly am coming to grips with the available info.
My next thing would be to find the correct components in my arr kits, as they would have left the factory.
As far as I understand it, it would depend on the WaA present to determine which factory did the final assembly.
I'll start with my arr 42 WaAD68 kit.

It came with an arr 42 HKW, an unmarked chain and a HAWIG oiler.
Would anyone have any data on what would originally be in the kit?
