Here’s my AX outdoors, I’ve been wanting to do this for a while now.

Unfortunately I can’t upload full-size pictures anymore because I don’t know how to on this new forum, medium size will have to suffice.

Enjoy, especially you Warrior1354

You do need to improve your photo skills or Camera though.

Thank you Herk and yes that has got to be one of my favorites I going to repost one of my AX41 rifles up the pictures uploaded before are old and not really that good. Could be much better. Anyway a very nice scarce K98k. You just don't find these for sale very often. And when you do problems are present and are very worn.

Very nice Feima, the blueing has a really deep color.
The buttplate has an e/37, which is a cool feature.
Great rifle Herk! Yours is almost nitre on the receiver (photo 7 in post 1). Mine seem to be a darker blue. Yours is an i block? Their finish quality was damn near commercial.

Guillaume, both my '40 e block and '41 c block have e/37 butt plates. Flat and cupped.

Thank guys, this really is the cream of the crop in my collection as of now, but equally loved as the others. I’ll be doing a similar shoot with my BNZ 45 soon.

Commercial quality for sure, they really put some time and finesse into these. Yours must be a little richer and less “matte”, I’ve seen some variations. Mine seems to be in between, kind of a rich, matte yet semi-shiny finish.

Hi heavy_mech, yes, I remember discussing non-Feima pieces in jory's post:
Looking at p.453 of vol IIb. the e/37 buttplate is recorded between the 40 d block and ends in the 41 h block.
Herk, have vou noticed non-Feima pieces other than buttplate and bandspring ?

Gents, E37 on my front sight base as well

Interesting, why the Suhl subcontracted parts? Was it an inventory on hand situation?
I'm not sure but one theory I have is certain subs became SO prolific in producing these parts so quickly it was decided that those parts would be shared with other manufacturers/assemblers. Seems the observations kind of fit that theory. Why dedicate tooling, floorspace and manpower making these items (let's say at Erma) when another firm is swimming in them?
