Picked this up a couple weeks back.. Was at a local show SW florida. This was one of a hand full of Rifles being sold by a deceased collector's family. I of course missed the initial sale but, after throwing enough $$ at the lucky new owner I was able to drag it home. I comprised a date sheet for Mr.Farb for his tracking of these. Rifle as far as I can tell is untouched It was dusty and dirty not too rusty though. Been sitting somewhere a long time.
Steyr style Sight hood never removed and filled with dust and dirt. Im having issues getting photos loaded but, will add more as time allows.
Data file.
Receiver= blank less Bnz43 and circle V7 on the right rear receiver bridge.
barrel= CE coded CZ lot followed by e/37 x2 also at 6o-clock position at raised flange P or b at 12o'clock stamped 5 ,
trigger guard and floor plate/follower. E/135 floor plate ser #
bands =blank welded and stamped. Band spring = e/135
trigger and sear are unmarked.
bayolug =e/77
stock= C subcontracted with BH under the butt plate cross lug = f coded
rear site assy= tube x2 e/77 leaf e/77 ramp e/77 both ser #. slide is unmarked, slide catch is e/77
Bolt= body is E/77 x2 on underside flat. FP on rear flat. Late round gas port type.
extractor= e/77
safety =e/77
shroud =e/77
firing pin - E/waA77
cocking piece =blank
Photos will follow.. This one follows similar patterns. Ser # pattern. Ser # on Barrel with F.P. stock and HG internal ser #, Bolt is a very interesting partially scrubbed army contract steyr bolt With ser # added on the bolt flat and safety.
Original matching bolt assy. Was 9245 numbered in the Army pattern.
Ser # only on the floor plate and rear site parts like Steyr continued till wars end.
