Gun in question is an all matching as-reworked 1918 Danzig 98a. Receiver is BS stamped, whose meaning as I understand it is unknown. There is no BS stamping on the wood anywhere, so I presume it was reworked subsequently. There is a depot stamp that I cant identify on the wrist, I am curious if any of you all can discern this stamp. In addition some of the parts are lined out matching, such as the buttplate and bottom metal. Perhaps this is also a clue to which depot did the last rework? Also worth noting this one has a large arsenal repair on the left side of butt and bolt does indeed close on an empty mag. Thanks in advance.
