Hello everyone,

Seeing Guillaume d'Orange's byf 44 block h, I thought I hadn't shown you my byf 44 block f.
It is in perfect condition, my region was liberated at the end of August 1944
I don't know if it was in an attic but it remained hidden for several decades
FN Bolt
Cleaning rod 'Elite Diamant'
Number 14377 f with 44D20 barrel code

one of my french friend 'Solitaire du 57 'as the Number 14727 h with 44D447 barrel,
recovered by his father on September 2, 1944 near AMIENS, a few dozen kilometers,

Bravo Fred, elle est vraiment superbe et tes photos le sont aussi !

One thing I did not ask in my post was any meaning the "X" below the bolt root could have.
IIRC, the "MI" meant that the bolt was unfinished.

Super looking 98k and looks like a very well overall finished gun for that year. Great to see these guns found after all these years in hiding.

'f' block was the last of the polished receivers.
Also there was a run of milled trigger housings in that range as well as yours is.
Nice example.
