Cant remove floor plate on CE 43 K98k

Need some help or advice on how to remove the floor plate, it seemed simple enough but no matter how hard i push, it just won't pop open. What should my next step be?

Rather than describing the procedure here; there is a good Utube video that shows how to remove it. Just google "how to remove K98 floor plate.
 
Sometimes these things get stuck like that, in some cases if the numbers aren't matching you just have to pry them to get the parts separated - I've used a screwdriver blade between the trigger guard and floor plate edge, near the hole - you basically have to push the pin in and gently twist the screwdriver as it's between the 2 parts. Problem is you have to be careful or you scratch stuff up and ruin it.

Is the gun matching? If so just leave it alone. There really is no good reason to remove the floor plate, it doesn't need to come off to disassemble anything.
 
+1 to what Mr.Farb says, but, if you HAVE to remove it, I use a small OAK (or another hardwood) block to tap against the floorplate while depressing the release, to remove it. 70 years of gunk might be glueing it into place.
 
My bolt this the only thing non-matching. Guess I'll just leave it alone, just really bugging me since it didn't open as easily as I thought. Any who, first post here and really liking the feedback I get from this forum. Thanks for the help!
