CE 43 Unkown Receiver Marking

I have had this CE 43 k-98 for many years but I have never known what the receiver marking of 35 means. It is a vet bring back and all matching. Please let me know if you have any knowledge of the meaning of this marking.

I think thats a Walther code. It looks like its a Walther made receiver.
I have one with the 35 mark and I think I have seen another..

Not a common code to find on a K98..

..

Hello,

Nice K98k. I do not have a clear answer for you, but I do have a possible 'lead'.

I have seen the "35" marking before on Walther produced P38's. The '35' marking is seen on Walther produced P38's from very early to late. 1940-1945. Its been discussed on the P38 collecters forum several times.

Not sure if other manufacturers used that marking.

Here is a link to that forum. They are a bunch of great guys over there, so dont hesitate to ask.

I am sure more collectors will post replys to this thread and be of better help to you.

The 35 marking is also found on triggers and cocking pieces on dot44 rifles. I don't think there is a clear understanding yet as to what it means.
