Crazy price for a bnz45

I put a bid on this (I think) common bnz45 at RIA and was shocked when it sold for $5500!
Geezus. What's the 'all in' price become? Every time I think I've seen the height of inanity someone has to prove me wrong. Maybe the whole thing is made of gold with a phosphate finish to disguise it and this guy figured it out? Just throwing money at stuff.

Rock Island is unrealistic the people that shop there have more money than brains... I was looking at a few items today and saw a m17 go for 4750 ... like have these people heard of gunbroker?

Come on. That's like me going to the grocery store and my ribeye steaks cost $25 but I insist on giving them $100. I guess all the members here that bought them when they came out are rich?? What were they when they were first released, like $600 or something? I know once the feeding frenzy started that was over.

What's the going price for a BNZ 45 in un-issued condition since this past auction ? It's from the T block and all matching. Looks like it was just taken out of the crate ?

Agree! Hard to believe with the price of everything else skyrocketing. Guess a lot more out there with deep pockets than I thought. Hey not my money

Also, what is Heavy_Mech talking about when he stated when they were first released for $600.00 ???
When these very first hit the market..... and I mean like the first 2 hours they were at or sub 600. And that changed before the sun set that day. I may be misremembering that but I don't think so.

Hit the market from where and when ? Did someone import a batch ? Were they WW II German military "t" block rifles ?

I stumbled upon a small show yesterday, first one I've been to since the panic started 2 years ago. there was a nice looking BYF 44 for $1295,00, I don't know if it was all matching, but I already have 2 that are. I kept walking.
Some guy had a pretty 1940 AX. He was asking $6500.
Came home with some mil spec mags for the EBR.
