Dr. Wöhler 6x30 Opinions

Repo Field Gear Collector
Picked these up yesterday and I’m looking for opinions on them. I’m not well versed in optics by any means so I’m not used to seeing the full maker on wartime binoculars, I’m thinking either post or pre war because of that?? I haven’t researched the Bakelite codes yet but the case almost certainly looks pre 45 from the others I’ve seen, but again not positive on that. Any opinions on these are welcome, it’s missing screws yes, but there is no way to loose on these.

I think they are good to go the more I think about it...bring them with tomorrow, and we can compare with my 6x30's and case.....

All real ww2 period with some issues. Screws missing which is odd ? someone must have tried and failed cleaning them ?

case is nice but straps are gone. For a period in time the Germans used pressed paper straps on these cases and I have yet to see a set where they aren't broken. They did go back to using leather so Im sure they had issues wartime as well.

Thanks for weighing in! Yeah we checked out of the case markings and everything checked out with a wartime maker, still wasn’t for sure on the glass though. You’re right too, someone really goofed them up, there is something loose on the inside now. They’ll do fine for display though, especially at 20 bucks.
