Enfield No2 MK1

Warrior1354

ax - hole
Well today was a very good for me at estate auction got alot of great deals and this was one them. This pistol was brought out right before the auction started its all numbers matching, it was made in 1934, and I believe its unit marked too. Most people at the auction had no clue what this pistol was and said it was chambered in 38 special instead of 38S&W. Well the auction started with an opening bid of $100 of course I bid on the piece and one other bidder brought the bid up 5$ on me. Which at first I thought it was a joke. Well in the end I took this piece home for $115. The pistol is in really nice condition and I will be posting a good amount of pictures on here later this afternoon.

NICE price ! These guns are finally getting their due. There was a time when you couldn't give them away. (Just like the Japanese Type 94 pistol)
Then one day, things changed.

Enfield No2 Mk1

Very nice pistol. My example is a 1932 dated weapon with similar but slightly different markings. I would agree with Hambone that the grips do not match the No2 Mk1 pistols I have seen. The ones I have observed (including mine) have checkered grips. Other than that outstanding example. Great score!
