Fair Price For Gew 98 Armorers Bolt - 100% Complete - Question

Hi guys,

I am going to be selling off most of my Gew 98/K98k armorers parts. I have a decent idea what most are worth.

Except, a complete Gew 98 armorers bolt. This bolt took me about a year + to complete. I had to purchase a handful of rifles, to get all the parts. Was definitely a labor of love…

Since I have never seen one offered for sale. What’s a fair price to ask for?

Last two I bought was 2004 for $91 and 2005 for $166 but was minty... 20 years ago but those two are last two I bought and Ken Locke and I did some trades too, but scanty details (I only know these prices because of copies of the money orders.

Could try reaching out too Chris Clemons and see what he thinks. I remember him making a post of finding two of those as the Show of shows a year or two ago.
 
There were a large number of parts sent to Turkey to service the guns they got, and a lot of them ended up here. IMO, they aren't as rare as one might think. I've got 7-8 of them of various manufacture and acceptance and I haven't paid more than ~$200 for one (including eBay) I've also seen several that I didn't buy and sent to friends.

In short, this is not a $4-500 bolt like a WW2 armorer bolt might be.

Just my 2 cents.

Worth a lot less than I would’ve thought…. Oh well

May split up the parts. Or, maybe try it out on everyone’s favorite auction site.

I think everything else I have will get put on the trader here.
