I've been searching for examples of a proper font/size for G33/40 serial #'s on bolt handles. Not much out there....a few picture example discussions on old GB posts...the pictures are no longer available.
Looking at the serial number stamped into the handle of a DOT 42 G33/40 with a "closed" 4. Is this correct? On the receiver, the serial number shows an "open" 4.
I know there's a ton of fakery and the "closed" 4 looks to be an indicator of humping. Was there only one font and size for all G33/40's. Can we confirm this?
