G33/40 Cleaning Rod

Looking at a G33/40 Rod. It is 11" (very close at least) and has the beveled end. Shouldn't the threaded end finish at a fine point? Does this look legit?

G33/40 cleaning rods typically look like the attached photos with the pronounced taper to the rear of the patch end. Hard to find and big $$$. You're example looks like someone cut a longer cleaning rod and re-threaded the end...

Not all 33/40 rods have the taper as shown in gergnotwen's pictures. Nice pics, btw. However, I do agree with gergnotwen that the rod on the op isn't an original based on the shape of the slotted tip and the threads.
 
Thanks for everyone's wise observations. It does look like a cut and rethreaded rod to me... my initial gut feeling. Thanks for the confirmation!:happy0180:
 
The SARCO ad states that their rod as linked above is 15" in length. An original G33/40 rod is a rather precise 11". The SARCO rod would extend over 3" past the end of the muzzle. It also lacks the radius where the patch holder meets the shaft.

At the top of the page it says 11" at the bottom is says 15". I can a tell you when mine showed up from the very same linked page it fit my 33/40 correctly @ 11".

Yes, there are two different ads for the same thing at SARCO. One with a picture and one without. I think they corrected the 15 inch mistake by just puting up another ad for the same thing without the picture and incorrect 15 inch size. I ordered from the ad that said it was 15 inch and the correct 11 inch rod arrived and fit perfectly. No worries. :happy0180:
