German Made 1944 Norwegian Krag

Here is my Norwegian Krag made in 1944 under German control during the occupation, rifle Nb1944 #801 is matching, it does have Norway etched on the receiver, found it at a local show many years ago, I added the muzzle cover, cleaning rod and sling.

I'm not usually a big fan of all these Beutewaffen, but for me there's just something about these Norwegian Krags. Love the cool "War Eagles" on them too. Thank God the guy inscribed Norway in a pretty harmless place! I'll bet it's a tack driver! Boy, you can sure see where the styling came from for the early 1903 Springfield cocking piece. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful rifle. I’ve always been fascinated by these. They seemed to interfere on the marking convention more then some other captured arms. Like Browning high powers. They didn’t reassign the entire marking convention. Very cool
