Gustloff KKW

Probably a boring rifle for the advanced collectors here but thought I'd share. Bolt is unnumbered, looked in the barrel channel for any markings and there are none. Only mark on the stock is the small "s" below the grip.

Nice looking rifle, and KKW's are one of my favorite model of rifle. Closely followed by DSM's and 625 Model W's.

correct....no snobs here ! I cant see the serial # but early gustloff's up to a certain range have un-numbered bolts. One thing I was trying to nail down and there is a sticky thread on gunboards that I started.

Looks like a fine example.

Gustloff

Nice rifle and a well kept example. I've developed an interest in KKW's and recently pick up a small banner Mauser and BSW KKW on gunbroker. A Gustloff like yours will be next on the list.

Any history or background info on the rifle you have?

beautiful rifle.... congrats. We all need to know the approx. line between numbered/ unnumbered bolts. I guess the new book will help that effort.

Very nice Gustloff and a good one to start building a collection on. Added bonus-- fun to shoot, too.

I just purchased a very nice one with a SA NSDAP cartouche. Also with a un numbered bolt. # 244959 What is the range of the un numbered bolt KKW? Banjomike

Very nice one and a bit later as well.. How plentiful are rifles like this in Germany ?? And they are legal to own and shoot ? Just curious.

Thanks.

I am not sure, how common they are in Germany. You can find them on the internet from time to time.

Not everybody is allowed to own a weapon. In fact only 1.4 million people in Germany are owning one or more guns (legally). The German population is more than 80 million.

And the European Union is about to pass even fiercer gun laws...:-(

Dump Merkle, Deutschexit, secure your borders, rewrite firearms laws--make Germany great again! (In a good way)

More pictures

Does anybody know what these markings mean?

The first two ones are showing a "H" inside a circle (bottom of the stock).

The third one seems to be a "OM" (or WO?) and is where the sling is attached.

Sorry for the bad quality.

photos are too blurry to tell..... Use your macro feature if you have one on your camera. Take some test shots then view.
Getting good photos is a pain in the a$$... But, its a must for posting anything.

Ok, second try. ;-) I think you can see the "H" quite good now. The other pictures are as good as I can shoot with my mobile.

Had a beauty of a Gustloff KKW years ago but ended up selling it, as it had an unnumbered bolt and I thought it was not correct.
