HELP! Should I purchase this K98K

Hello,

This is my first time posting here, and I would appreciate your expertise regarding a K98K I'm considering purchasing. The seller is asking $600, which seems a bit too good to be true. I've attached photos for your review. Could you help me assess what he is offering based on the markings and overall appearance of the rifle. He doesn't know much about it.

Mauser made, matched bolt, replaced stock, drilled receiver, repro sling (and likely hood & rod too)

I would pass. Milled butt plate but stamped and welded front band. That JS stamping sure ain't original.

The sight base might have been replaced, the stock is an ex postwar Hungarian piece. With holes and the overall condition it’s priced at top dollar IMO. My advice is to save your money and look for a better example.
