Hi, this is a Belgian stock for the IDF that served in a Mauser that was later converted to 7,62 NATO. The Israelis used any part that would fit, that's the reason you find a WW II-era crossbolt (Sauer production) and a WW I upper ring here. I read "RC/Crown" there, which means that something had been wrong with this part, so it got reproofed and was marked with this inspection mark. Quite unusual and interesting even if the context is missing.

PS: good luck with your project!

That's not an RC/Crown, the RC on those is usually a lot more clear. I'm not going to say always because I don't know imperial parts well enough to go out on that limb, but this is more like how it usually appears:

Does the band have a hook on it? Looks to be a Gew98 band from where I'm sitting, but you can't see the full thing.

If I may ask how do you know its belgian?

The Belgians sold a lot of Mausers to Israel in the 50ies. Those Mausers had a very distinct stock: solid beech, take down hole in the cupped buttplate, no common band spring, not drilled for cleaning rod. All this applies to your stock.
The visible hole in the upper band is a bit widened to accept the bolt that holds it in place.

This crown/RC marking is interesting indeed. I wonder what if could be if it's not the Imperial mark? Could you please show us a pic of the other side of the ring, with or without any number, and the rear lower part of the ring so that we could see if a hook has been removed? The IDF would have surely done this, I think. Thanks in advance!

It's 100% an imperial mark. That's not a Crown/RC, it's just a run of the mill inspector's mark. Kind of hard to read what it is but the letter under it is a single capital letter.

It's an Imperial Gew98 barrel band that had the sling parade hook ground off.
