K98k? New to Mausers

Brand new to forum, thanks for accepting me. Have a dot 1944 that I believe is a WWII Waffenwerke Brunn I. From looking online it appears to be early to mid 44 production but I would like some experts to weigh in. Been in family for decades. It has no serial number markings I can find on receiver. It has 6282 on rear sight parts, magazine bottom plate, front sling mount, wood hand guard, front for-end cap which is drilled for cleaning rod. only other numbers are 6482 H on bolt handle, 6482 on top rear ring of bolt. Barrel has shield with dot over 13. EV. 3 lines over 63. I see no serial number on receiver visible and no caliber markings. Barrel is approx 600mm (23-11/16") long from bolt face. No marking on stock. It has bayonet lug, locking stock screws, oval bolt pressure release holes, stock disassemly discs, barrel band spring. Is it normal for no serial number to be on receiver side and no caliber markings? Finally what is this exact model called K98 k98k ??? Finally I would like to get an original front sight hood and possible a correct sling. THANKS

Pictures help. Barring that, go look at the index of reference threads they're full of pictures including a number of exactly the kind of gun you're describing.

Well, it will be almost impossible for us to accurately tell you anything about your rifle without photos. For various reasons…

If you’re having a hard time with the photo size I always take them on fcbk messenger and send them to myself it uses the right size then you can save and upload no problem

Where on barrel? Hidden by stock? No numbers can be seen with rifle assembled.
Go here. Scroll down until you find your year/manufacturer code. You'll find all the pics you need to answer your questions about SN placement.

Yes, mine has no serial number there or on the receiver.

Is there a reason why you can’t post pics? We can’t answer your questions without it. It will be guesswork as to what you have. Plenty of possible reasons why you don’t have a serial where you should have it. One is a replaced barrel post war with a unserialized barrel. The list can go on and on….

Yes mine has nothing where your 4 numbers are not the 2 letters underneath, It does have the dot 13 shield , 2 letters on top of barrel and an eagle on top after the letters with G13 under eagle.

Main reason is my old camera is low pixel and I can not get clear enough photos that would help. Would replacement barrel still have the dot 13 shield, letter codes for steel batch etc? There are no signs of a number ever being removed. I am trying to get ahold of a camera that can take close ups better. what other reasons might it not have a number?

IF you can check it out of the stock, it could be a replacement barrel and the SN would be under the wood line.

Look at the picture I posted. See the German eagle on the receiver? Then the matching eagle on the barrel?
Does your receiver and barrel have those eagles?

It does have the eagle on receiver but not on barrel. I have not removed stock to check under the wood. I noticed when removing barrel band where sling attaches the stock looks like it was made in 2 pieces with the last 5" piece under barrel glued ?? to rear directly where sling mount covers joint. Is that normal? Other question is did all of these have cleaning rod? The hole under barrel only goes in about 4-4.5" where rod would go normally.
