Late stock without any stamps

Hello Gentlemen,
I was advised to join this forum to get expert opinions about this probably late war K98k stock that I bought in Denmark last week.

It has the very late configurarion with stamped and welded metal parts, upper/lower ring without retaining spring, no bayonet lug, no disc in the stock, high buttstock cap with disassembly hole.

The strange thing is, there are absolutely no markings anywhere.

I hope someone can give Information about this stock, time period and maybe suitable rifle makers that can be used in this stock.

Cheers,

Chris

You didn’t show the bolt cutout which would help ID it. But, it’s sanded postwar which is why it lacks markings, add to that it’s too smooth for the period (aka its sanded). Would work for a byf45/svw45 or bnz45 coded rifle, in lesser extent late dot/swp45 rifles also had this configuration on very limited rifles.

Yep it's a Mauser stock with the remnants of the green ink stamp in the barrel channel.

Thanks guys.
Too bad about the sanding :-(
I paid $160 for it, maybe still ok even if sanded?

Here are two more pictures.

The step in the upper handguard is.... unusual ?
Maybe not even matching to this stock ? Maybe not even from a German K98 ?
