need some help about this marking found on a 1886 lebel , ww2 german used we think .

Never seen it before and not sure it really makes sense? LZA could be abbreviation for Luftzeugamt, it's generally abbreviated this way. Also, Kü marking is seen on Lugers and last I heard those guys thought it might be associated with the Luftwaffe. Of course there is no way to verify if those markings on that gun are real, that I know of.

I have to admit that your posting spurred some interesting thoughts in my head, and actually may have led me to discover that this is actually the marking of LZA Küpper. You are actually part of the team now that discovered the real meaning of the Kü markings on Luger pistols. We work good together!

Very interesting indeed, especially with it being on the metal and not the stock.

It's very atypical for a depot to mark the metal instead of the wood. But, given that Kü marked the metal on P.08's this may be a real marking. It's very interesting to be sure - who would even know to mark something LZA-Kü if they were faking it?
