Low Turret Scope

Recently a customer brought in my store a Mint Condition blc Zielvier low turret scope w/ covers that a relative brought back from WW11. He now is the owner and new collector of rifles and would like to purchase a rifle to put it on. In todays world is this possible or are there to many scopes compared to the available rifles? Also, what about mounts? I told him I would ask. Thanks Banjomike

Scope

Both LT scopes and rifles are rare. Sell the the scope and buy a High Turret or Long Side Rail rifle. Easier to find. I have Sauer Low Turret without a scope, but I would not sell my rifle. Too hard to find. There are not many scopes for sale either. I would like to buy a Sauer type Low Turret scope to put on my rifle. Let me know if your friend decides to ever sell it.

As Herc said they are rare.. very rare.. but not impossible...just depends on how patient your customer is and how much money he is looking to spend.

Could be a very long time and several thousand dollars for the rifle ..and you would have to keep an eye out and an ear to the ground so it wouldnt pass you by.

Scope is worth several thousand and not an easy bird to find itself..especially if it is mint and with covers , but if he has an emotional bond to it because it is a bringback from a relative it could be worth giving it a shot I suppose...worst case scenario he can always sell it down the road if he tires of the hunt.

Thanks Gentlemen; The person who owns the scope would be in a position to purchase the rifle. Any takers? Banjomike
