All of the early part of the contract for Portugal in 1941 carried the current military acceptance marks of the period.
In this case the Heer acceptance (E/H) followed by the WaA655 acceptance stamps.

By the early part of 1942 when the contract was still running the acceptance schedule was simplified to a single WaA135 on the right side of the stock.

Back in the day, alot of collectors confused these earlier marked Port.1941s as Army diverts.

In reality a true Army divert is a tough rifle to verify with the easiest route being Norwegian or Russian captured examples.
