The fit of front ring in front tower seems odd, never seen one with a gap like that…….

Ed is that Front Ring maybe missing the locking spring plate or maybe its bent out of shape on ends . If it is missing the locking spring plate I a few spare original ones if Your needing one .

Looks like a promising byf45 no letter block high turret. But more pictures are definitely needed to determine this. Not sure what is going on with you front ring. Almost looks like the front base is a low turret base?

that’s what I was thinking, though it’s a purely unqualified guess, having no bases on hand to measure & compare. or spring plate may be bent as Dave suggested. Scope looks parallel, more pics will tell the story.

IMO the front base is a HT base the milling is to rough to be a LT base and the corners of the base are incorrect for LT .
Hopefully Ed will post some more pics showing lower section of front ring .

after looking more closely at photos of both style front bases, I see the difference!
