I have a 44E37 barrel code on my i block in 45000 range. That's cool ! I guess it was hidden in your capture pile(s)
Hambone's/Ryan's rifle also has a 44 E 35 code (but no ar44 receiver).
Maybe more 'h' block/early 'i' block with Edelstahlwerke barrels will show up in the future (problem with supply/quality of the ones from Döhlen ?)
Have you saved pics of this one ? Such a high would almost fill the gap.
Thanks, have you made a post about your rifle ? It may be worth one.I have a 44E37 barrel code on my i block in 45000 range.
No i haven't posted it on here yet. I might just do that if wish to see it. Mr. Farb has seen it in PM before when i had some questions on it. I'm d*mn grateful to him for his time and effort. Thanks, have you made a post about your rifle ? It may be worth one.
Bruce may comment this, but based on the doc in Vol IIa it looks like Deutsche Edelstahlwerke AG (DEW) supplied Fabrique Nationale and when FN was evacuated, blanks have been redirected to MO. Nothing to do with problems at Döhlen.
So my rifle was not an isolated case. Can you please post detailed pics of your ‘h’ block ? I would like to know the barrel code if it is visible.interesting feature is that the rear band was numbered upside/down (I bought it with the ring on the right handside/the wrong side). I put the band correctly now as you can see on the last pic. Other than that it is all-matching and has the common features of the 'h' block (s/n on barrel).
Take the band off and install it with the numbers right side up.
Sorry, whatever the block, pics would be welcomeI never said I had an h block.
