Great ammo can. Aluminum with factory camo. I wonder if this was originally slated for Portugal. The carry strap is interesting. Possibly rigger applied?

Interesting can for sure, and odd carry strap, but definitely on there a long time! IB, I can't figure out whether I agree with your assessment of the factory camo on the can or not, but if I had to bet money I would agree given the date, and your assessment on the Portugese contract, likely diverted if it ended up where Bjarne is. It is likely that it looks a shade different than the normal factory camo pattern seen due to age. Neat can to be sure and that is period camo.

Hey Ham. I'm thinking of all the MG15 ammo can's and boxed oil can sets that came from IMA 25 years ago in this same pattern, supposedly from a Port contract….we all know how honest a sales pitch can be.

Yet another neat find by bjarne. Nice!

Especially IMA sales pitches. They are real BS artists sometimes.

Nice camo -

I seem to have accumulated a lot of German cans - for use, not collecting.
The difference in paint jobs and colors seems endless -
I see the ammo can shoulder straps on and off, they are expensive, and quite rare, the ones I have seen don't look quite like the one on yours, which means nothing, of course.

I need some more aluminum ones - well done.
