Missing BNZ45 Wood Screw

I recently acquired a BNZ 45 Kriegsmodell and I am looking for a wood screw for the nose cap. Does anyone have one for sale or a recommendation for where to go for acquiring this type of screw. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is quite possible a front nose plate and screw was never installed, additional pictures will help verify this. Steyr had a lot of rifles brought back by GI's in various states of completion. Because of this, many of them have poorly fitted barrel bands with no woodscrews, missing bands, or missing nose caps.

I would not be too quick to complete your rifle. My example may be good to study re: finished at factory or not. More info is needed on your example…

Every time that rifle gets reposted I fall in love all over again

All thanks for the feedback. I see that there are quite a few examples of no nose plates and or no nose plate screw. My BNZ 45 is a late SN S block 88xx. It has all the final proof acceptance stamps. Upon further inspection based on the input from above, the drilled hole has no evidence that a screw was ever installed. So based on the current information I will assume it is correct as is. Aron you mentioned additional pictures. What would like to see?

Basically we would all love to see the entire gun in detail, there are tons of cool features on these late Steyr rifles

You already alluded to it, but if you could get a clear shot of the hole, maybe on a slight angle showing no wood screw threads in the hole. Agree on the other small details too.

Some additional pictures.
