My imperial era collection

I have wanted to do something like this for quite some time. I wanted to see how far I have come along all these years collecting weapons and items from the era. This is the blunt of that collection. Unfortunately not all of the accessories are displayed for one I don't have a big enough blanket for everything!

But almost every single rifle or carbine has a muzzle cover and a nice bayonet. Slings I did not include in the display just because mainly I did not feel like getting them out. And to tell you the truth I do not have enough of those they are just so hard to find.

But still I'm quite happy. I started collecting from this era around 2008. When you finally have everything out in front of you it really is something to take in! Like wow! For one you never realize how much stuff you have. And surprisingly you still have more items to add to that collection in the future! There are many people here I would like to thank but there's just so many to list. But I do appreciate their efforts in helping find items for me, trading with each other, and their knowledge. And to the newer collectors out there remember this is not something I built overnight. This is well over a decade. Be patient there are plenty of nice items still out there. Knowledge is very important but most of all have fun doing this and making good friends in the endeavor.

That's a nice group shot Jordan! It is funny how laying them all out gives perspective.

I myself was a late bloomer- I picked up collecting back in 2011. Too much going on with grad school, work, etc.. when I was in my twenties. But I tried to make up for the late start LOL.

Again, nice pics!

That is very nice collection Jordan. I started collecting Imperial German stuff back in 2013. I have been collecting Milsurp stuff since 2009.

Thanks guys and no I don't think it will ever stop growing! But seriously when you start pulling stuff out you begin to realize wow how much stuff do I really have!

Thanks for sharing Jordan! Posts like this are great encouragement for younger collectors like myself. Currently my only Imperial rifle is my 1906 WMO Gew98 that I posted a while back. I’d love to add a few more to the collection, especially a 1917/18 Gew98 and Kar98a.
