My K 43

Proud to pick up this AC45 K 43 with scope , all original matching K43 with goodies in but stock , scope and mount do not match rifle

Thank you for showing this one. This particular rifle has never been reported before-just an F.Y.I. Myself and another member keep pretty extensive (seperate) data bases with these. In fact, none were reported in the 9200 c block. The two rifles reported between yours is K.43 ac45 #9180c and K.43 ac45 #9302c. #9302c has a neat bring back showing where that rifle was one of three brought back together.
 
It has been in a private collection for a very long time ! I am very proud to have it . It appears to have never had a sight hood on it as there is no marks or scratches on the sight ramp ! It has everything in the butt stock .
 
It may very well never did have a sight hood installed as suspected. Some of them reportedly left the factory without one. It looks like a great rifle to have.

PS: Be careful with taking tha paper manual in and out of the rifle. That paper is pretty old and brittle and will get snagged on the wood fibers inside that stock.
 
I took the paper out when I first got it . Now it is at home back in the butt stock where it belongs I was fortunate enough to find one of the books Hitlers Garand at a show in South Carolina . So now it rest beside my chair and is read regularly . Thanks for the reply's ..

A very nice K43. It sounds like this is your first one. You may have just been infected with the G/K43 collecting bug. Caution is advised; as it is nearly impossible to rid yourself of this affection and may prove to be quite costly in a continued struggle with it.

I have ac45 #4720c and 4272c in case they are not in your database. Also 202d and 232d along with 404b... all ac45's. Plus ac 45's 7623, 8529, 1464a, 7949a and 1255b
 
You know I have been meaning to put my G43 AC44 code in the database that was being research here in this forum. Keep forgetting about it. Here it is #9122h. Its not an K43 AC45 code but I hope it helps with your research guys.
