Need dimension between bands on a VZ24

Any of you guys with VZ24s, I could used the interior dimension between the back of the front band and the facing edge of the rear band.
Basically the distance of exposed wood. I have a VZ24 front end and want to make sure it has enought meat for a good repair.

First image shows the measurement of wood exposed between the two barrel bands. I'd say just a hair over 5 inches. Second photo shows the distance of the exposed wood aswell as what space is covered by the front and rear bands. Which is roughly 7.5 inches.
