Need help identifying stamps on bcd4

Local dealer is offering a bcd marked receiver and dou (I think) marked barrel Kriegsmodell with just a few serial numbers on it, mostly matching. It's marked from the ii block so I think that means late 44? The thing that's confusing me is that on the side of it, there is a stamping of "GR" just forward and to the left of where the barrel meets the receiver - can't find any explanation of that, can you folks help out maybe? Trying to add some other photos but having trouble getting them small enough to be accepted 1000003808.jpg

yes i think you're right ,i have all ready seen a dou rifle with a bcd 4 receiver in the same letter block .

Thank you all for your replies. So there's nothing in the photos to indicate that this is a post-war rework or foreign reissue, correct?

Sorry I got more clarification from the dealer, the serial numbers that are there seem to match, but it seems that there are very few of them on the rifle - in other words, I'm not aware of any other serial numbers being present other than what's visible in the photos I provided. Is that typical of these Kriegsmodells?

Very nice, I wonder how many examples are known. I know Mike on here had one that was a bolt mismatch for sale awhile back but it's gone now.

To be able to tell you that we would need a full photo spread. So we can compare and contrast with other examples, since it is a DOU finished rifle If I was you I'd grab it because it's rather unique to me. Price has to be right as well, the stock looks like it has had some kind of stain added to it.

Late War DOU. 44

Finally got around to taking pics of my first 98k. From the research i've done this appears to be a Semi-Kriegsmodell? All matching, some parts don't have any numbers or marks on them at all like the wood and buttplate, even the barrel bands don't have any marks. Maybe you guys could tell me a...

A reference rifle, it's just just one block before the example your looking at, so that's what it should look like.
