Needed! English language Diagram of KKW

I would like to use the most accurate words when speaking of the KKW. Anyone know of a piece of literature or book where one would be shown? I see many German diagrams in 'Mauser Smallbores' book, but would to know if an English equivalence exists.

Thank you,

Nicole

Spanish Publication - Armus Magnum, KKW Article

I have a short article on KKW's from a spanish publication that you may like.

Here's the translation:

THE MAUSER KKW .22 caliber LR

after the First World War he creates a growing demand in the market of sports training and competition, of small-caliber rifles, more precisely of .22 caliber carbines of LR. At the beginning of the '20, the signature Mauser, the weapons factory in Germany most important by those times, not ignore this demand, launching to the market a line of carbines .22 of great quality, in obedience to the strict limitations of the Treaty of Versailles. These models were designed by Fidel Feederle, right hand of Paul Mauser, becoming a real success for the accuracy and high finish, traditional Mauser in the signature. The models were the Eb 300, initial model and simple with cylinder head, the 310, similar to the previous but with cylinder head of walnut and the 320, with cano longer, head of walnut and porta belts. All monotiro, with simple rise and indent and sharing a simple but effective lock. For 1924, in Germany there was a growing passion for the drawbar, appearing many shooting clubs, and began to appear with force groupings such as the 'Hitler Jugend". Mauser enters the market is the model 340, improving the line of the cylinder head, rising tangential type Mauser (as in the military rifles, but graduate between 30 and 200 m) canon heavier, more sensitive trigger, aimed to the drawbar growing tournaments organised throughout Germany. This model has unique success, both in the informal public, as in handles of competition, because of the amazing accuracy that had, even enviable for any current weapon. All the models mentioned above, preceded by the letter "E" are monotiros (for example, "is" = Einzelschuss = monotiro). By that time, Mauser has numerous competitors in the market, such as Simson, Walther, Gecko, Anschutz, Diana, Haenel and Erma, etc. , among others. It is imperative to stay at the forefront of the market, launch new and better models. For this reason, there are a few new and evolved with loader rifles of 5 shots, the models MS 410 and Ms 420 ( "M" = Mehrlader = charger) while still sharing the action of the previous models, the MS 410 is intended for use for sporting and hunting and the MS 420 is destined to the competition, with canon heavier. In September of 1929, is presented the model is 350, intended only for the competition. For top of the '30, all these models are evolving, incorporating coliza on the action, for mounting of optical sights. Politically there are also major changes in Germany, becoming more and more popular and attracting more and more adepts, the National Socialist party led by Adolf Hitler. For the moment, Mauser had already produced more than 135,000 rifles caliber .22 LR. In mid-1933, and already with the Nazi party in power, are invited to several manufacturers to produce a popular rifle, with military lines inspired by the Mauser, for training of the nascent "Hitler Jugend" or "Hitler Youth" and various paramilitary organizations, to familiarize the young Germans, with a rifle of the size, weight and characteristics of the K98 K, but with the low operating cost of the ammunition .22 LR. (See note "The Simson of the Gral. Mosconi" in MAGNUM no. October 265 of 2011). The "DSM 34" would be a rifle to a preferential popular cost (only 49 RM), a "rifle for all" (and all, sounds familiar, isn't it?) The excellent standard of manufacture of Germany in those years of pre-war, achieving that despite being a popular weapon, having a superlative quality, unreachable by todays standards, achieving dazzle and excite the drawbar to newcomers to the young Germans. The action and lock of this jewel designed by Mauser, is looks and works like a K98 K, but in miniature, until with a stripper rotary side, its rise is tangential graduated from 25 to 200 m. From this extraordinary action, were incorporated into the sports models, descontinuandose the previous line. This new series is called "B-series", highlighting the sports models Ms 410 B, Ms 420 B (with canon heavy) and the drawbar is 340 B and 350 B.

Can't vouch for this company (never done any business with them), but they offer manuals they have been translated including Denckler -Das Kleinkaliber Schießen - Small Caliber Shooting.

http://germanmanuals.com/rifles-pistols.html

From their site:

This Denckler manual is written specifically for the KKW (Klein Kaliber Waffen)
rifle, which was the .22 long rifle caliber, single shot, bolt action, military style training rifle. It duplicates some of the points in the basic shooting
manual above (bullet trajectory, proper aiming), but also has details specific to the KKW rifle (bolt disassembly, loading, etc.). A nice little
manual for explaining the basics of the gun and .22 caliber cartridge. 30 pages with 20 illustrations.

Nicole, are you trying to decipher the words on the descriptive drawing of the KKW? Most of those are self explanatory, ie. Kolbe means butt (stock), Schraube is screw, Visier is sight, usw. (and so forth).

This was a very interesting read. I lot of this information I have heard/learned before, but the info on the Mauser B-series I knew little about. The translation here from Spanish text is difficult for me decipher based on grammatical consitency, but after re-visiting it today I see some very good points that are now highlighted. Especially in regards to the design elements.
I have a copy of the Denckler manual, thank goodness, and I am working on translating it to incorporate captioned examples of info directly from period literature.

Thank you for highlighting these two sources.

Nicole, glad some of that helped (or made sense, sorry for the crappy free translatior used).

I think you were also looking for this - hope it is large enough to be legible.

Hello friends, while looking for old notes, I discovered with pleasure this note published in Magnum magazine in Argentina. This note was written by me a few years ago.
