I suppose the 1938 Erma K98k has a Gothic Gew on the receiver side rail.

Recently I acquired a Yugo Mod.98/48 with a Yugo crest. It had been thoroughly scrubbed of any prior markings except for a stick type eagle over the number 280 on the baseplate of the rear sight. 280 is Erma. Erma had a gothic Gew rather than a Mod. I read that Walther supplied both Sauer and Erma with receivers and that some receivers destined for one or the other went to one or the other at random. In 1941 Erma ceased making K98ks. I am hoping that someone has a K98k made by Erma with a Mod. instead of Gew. and will respond like you. Thank you.

Sorry I don’t have any 280 Waffenamt. Only 77
