Greetings gents! Found the forum through a google search and decided to check it out! I'm from Prince Edward Island (formerly from Ontario). I've been collecting firearms and shooting my whole life.
As far as mausers go, I've owned 2 and sold them both (both with huge regrets). I had a beautiful Carl Gustav 1909 m96, beautiful dark wood, immaculate bore, and consistently gave me 1 inch groups at 100 yards with hornady 129 SSTs and 42 grains of BL-C (2). My second mauser was a Spanish m1916, short and blonde, my 9 year old son liked shooting steel plates with 180 cast bullets and red dot.
I've recently purchased a new German model 98 that needs a little restoration/tlc, but that's for another thread.
