Hello, There is so much information Im having trouble navigating. I'm wondering if someone out there has a fair to good condition stock so I can use my new G98 Oberndorf 1915 a/n rifle. Its a short rifle it well used but all is matching except like 1-2 items and a stock. Someone squeezed into a hidden cracked modern(k98) stock. It looks dumb and I cant fire it with that crack. Please any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks G

what do you mean “it’s a short rifle”? A Gewehr 98 rifle has a 29”+ barrel length, something like this might work if yours is unaltered-

This Peruvian Model 1909 7.65X53mm Mauser rifle. On the insert bar it has a stamp. It has the mauser plaque stamped below on the right side of the butt. Above it are two leaves. (This is the Peruvian import mark).

Well I hope really bad with all my heart this isn't a cutdown. The Barrel is like 23.5 inches, maybe 23 3/8" hard to exactly. The Side of the receiver says Gew 98. The Top says Waffenbrik and below that it says Oberndorf A G and 1915 A/N under that and has 3 symbols on the right side next to k98 stock that doesn't fit but was jammed on. All the numbers match on everything that I can see but its like someone sanded it or polished it into the white everywhere at one time, a long time ago as its got a little pitting and small rust areas but overall it looks like no blueing. I haven't taken the stock off yet so Im not sure what's underneath, I appreciate you responding. I went thru eBay completely and found none that were a close match by date other than a 900.00 which is absurd. I don't know much about these as Ive always wanted one cause I stupidly traded one when I was 25 years younger that was very nice as I was ignorant. I didn't lose our on the deal but at that time I had just started getting into collecting. I'm disabled so Ive have been moving slow. I just wasn't aware of the variety of mausers to the extent that Im seeing now. So I have no clue. I thought this was perhaps a carbine or Kar?
