Okay guys, I picked this one up from a customer at the show this weekend who cleans out storage units. Very nicely installed chain with loop that was soldered to blade and other end snaps into bayonet slot. Heard Norway did this post war, no other unusual markings other than waffenampts, and serial number with maker or another number blocked by chain loop?

Hello. Yes the chain was added by the Norwegian knifecompany "Geilo" in the seventies. The reason for this?? With a chain it was easier to hang it on a wall:laugh:

The chained 84/98 like yours were yearly presentation pieces given out by a Norwegian Historical association as prizes for service or similar. you can see mine under Norway on my site along with other reused 84/98's from Norway.
