Nice RC 43 bcd with many "correct" parts

Well, now that I have shown my first bolt m/m here is my first ever K98k (by 3-days). A pretty nice RC Gustloff Werke bcd 43. The "X" is a avery crisp "times new roman" X not a haphazard stamp.

It has pretty unique barrel sub-contractor codes. "ch" from Fabrique Nationale and DEW from Deutsche Edelstahlwerke with WaA 14.

Also many of the parts are the correct sub-contractor if I understand correctly.

SN: 1043bb
Bayonet mount = "e"
upper band = "1"
Magazine floor = "d"
Follower = "1"
Recoil bolt = "f"
buttplate = "brg" also has pretty clear WaA 147 Ink stamp
Stock sling cutout stamped "1" (I think) and possibly a small letter I can't ID on wrist bottom and behind trigger (but could just be dents)

I can't tell if the bolt is correct or not, still pretty new to interpreting markings but, anyway, I think it is pretty nice as RCs go. I hope you like!

Here are a few more.

I have more detailed pics but they are predominantly mismatched SNs and WaA.

no love for RCs?

It appears there isn't much interest in this rifle. I thought there were some interesting feature. I still love her though! That said, any info on the markings/features I mentioned are appreciated!

Depending on the "1" actually being an "i" or an "l" (most likely and "l"), it either stands for Elite Diamant or Astra-Werke Chemnitz. "e" is for Herman Köhler, Altenburg (Thuringia). Astra and Köhler were suppliers to Gustloff. "brg" is H.W. Schmidt of Saxony, supplier of stamped butt plates 1940-43. "d" and "f" are for Brehmer and Karl Heise, respectively, both out of Saxony and suppliers to Gustloff.

Basically, your bcd 43 is made of parts you normally would find on all matching Gustloff rifles. Not too shabby, I would say.

Vielen Dank!

I appreciate it. I found this interesting because, from my very limited knowledge, I thought the odds of "correct"but subcontracted parts making it back into an RC to be kinda remarkable.

I don't see any WaA on the stock, but I understand that might be correct for a bcd43?

Correct, bcd 43's have C marked stocks in every example I've seen.

Very nice rifle! This one must have gotten back to the armorers in good enough shape that it stayed together and got sent back up. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Very nice RC!! I like it. I think that the RC definitely has a place in the K98 community and are getting more and more collectible as time goes on. I really like the looks of yours and you should be proud of it. I picked up a bnz a few months back and it came with manufacture correct parts like the bolt and stock. I either got lucky or someone putting it back together decided to take their time assembling it out of boredom. There was no "x" and the swastikas were still intact.

Thanks guys!

Thank You M1903A3 and Shaun. I thought it looked pretty good compared to other RCs I'd seen lately. I have a couple more on layaway that I think look pretty good too, a 41 bnz. and a 1940 337. The 337 doesn't have an "X" either. I now have a bolt m/m that I love and may someday pony up for a complete matching rifle, but RCs are kinda like Mosin's to me, amazing history at (relatively) reasonable prices...AND kinda like Lays (Pringles?) potato chips...can't stop at just one!
