Not a new Gew 98 but.....

I have been lusting after this goodie for about 20 years. It finally was broken out of an old Imperial Collection. I do not normally search out Gewehr 98 accessories but I always liked this. There are 35 of the original stripper clips left. It is the only one I have ever seen although there are no doubt others in collector's hands. I thought you all would enjoy seeing it nevertheless.

That is pretty awesome, - I doubt there are many (if any) of these out there to discover. Its amazing someone thought it worth bringing back, though it could have been part of the AEF salvage operations. They brought back 70,000 rifles and thousands of MG's, the list of trivial (stupid) items (like field kitchens) is endless (800,000 miscellaneous items altogether).

Quite a rare accessory to even fine for sale I don't think I've ever even found a German stripper clip from World War 1 let alone a box of them. Glad to see you get another awesome piece for your collection Jeff well you're already fantastic collection!
