Odd Marking on Ricasso

this is very odd. I literally just bought one of these yesterday. berg and co 1938 with the same mark. K64 so it must be a berg and co thing ?
I will add the ser # and letter block.

looks like 5949 f but there is crud in the letter. When I get it ill repost it. K 64 under the maker on the blade and scabbard. 1938

g and i range but the difference of the k serialing is only 5nr so in reality more real this was done to sample in Norway as many of Berg 1938 were marked Nordsee and ended in Norway.The samples are 20000 pcs appart. The ricasso was refurbished over cleaned surface already. By 1938 would be the ricasso high polished.
