Opinions on frog

I don’t care for it. Leather patch is odd, stitching odd, web is odd. Unless it’s some type of captured material made ad a depot, which I’m not versed in, as for a straight German frog, no IMO
 
It looks very similar to a reproduction that I have. Same construction, material weave, leather patch. The thread used to stitch it together is different though. The thread on mine is the same color as the webbing, yours looks to be lighter,(white?) I would like to see a side pic of the aluminum fastener. The fastener on the left is on the repro frog. The one on the right is an original.

The shafts look to be same length and longer than an original. The heads of the studs differ but the sharp bottom edge is the same. Look at the shape of the original and see it has a smooth contoured bottom and shorter shaft.

No good. Leather on back of strap stud is wrong. Weave in fabric is wrong. Stud itself is wrong. Seen a couple people on Ebay trying to pass these off as original lately. The scabbard stud hole stitching is better than most but still not correct IMO.
